Updated August 2021: As Ontario continues to re-open, we are following suit. Jewel is currently offering affordable private lessons and coaching sessions in our studio at 260 St. Patrick. Contact her to schedule.

The Sunday Práctica is slated to return in the fall of 2021. Other events will follow as the situation continues to evolve. Our students’ and patrons’ health, safety, and enjoyment are our priority.

Siempre means “forever” or “always” in Spanish. For us, the phrase Siempre Tango, “forever tango,” comes down to this:

As long as people seek connection with others, there will always be a place for Argentine Tango in the world, now more than ever. Tango gives you an opportunity to create lasting bonds through intimate embraces and genuine community. Its mix of simplicity and endless possibilities can keep you learning for a lifetime.

Established in 1999, Siempre Tango’s mission is to help you explore this constantly-evolving social dance as a path to wellness, self-confidence, and creativity. As Ottawa’s only school entirely dedicated to tango, we’re also committed to nurturing the capital’s growing tango community.

Classes

Winter 2020 Session Has Been Suspended.

Due to concerns regarding the spread of CoVID-19 in our local community, we have suspended our current classes until further notice. We will contact our current students in Tango 302+, Tango 102, and Tango 104+ shortly to talk about re-start dates and class credits.

Bruno’s guest session and our new Tango 101 Intensive will begin (hopefully) at the beignning of April 2020.

Thank you for your understanding!

Important News Concerning Our Milongas, Prácticas, and Classes (Updated 03/14/20)

Tango and coronavirus don’t mix. Our desire for human contact puts us dancers at a disadvantage when it comes to public health. Friends from all parts of the world are now in tango “blackout” and unfortunately we have decided to join them. Our community is very diverse. Many people with different workplaces, living situations, and …

So far in 2020: New Classes, New Milonga, Guest Teachers, and More

For me personally, it has been quite the transition. I feel buoyed by the positive words and kindnesses that our students and patrons have given my teammates and me. We knew we wanted to do things differently, and that would involve change. Change can be painful, but it’s really the only way to grow and …

“This curriculum looks great, but I still don’t know what class to take”: A guide to Siempre Tango’s new curriculum

We’ve received a lot of questions from our returning students about the new curriculum, and rightly so. But let us explain a couple of things: We needed a clear road map for beginners to go from zero to milonga-ready in a few months. And by mandating that students learn to lead and follow from the …
