Winter Session 2019

The Winter Session will begin on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. You must pre-register by contacting us either by email or at (613) 789-9996, so we can create leader-follower balance.

We offer regular classes for each level of dance. Wherever you are in your tango journey, we can help.

Tango 1: Fundamentals for enjoyable social tango – a comfortable leader-follower connection and a simple toolbox of moves to use well into the future.

*** For Tango 1 on Sundays, the práctica is included in the price, so you can immediately practice what you learned, guided by our team of teachers. ***

Tango 2: Level Up!
Continue your tango journey. Build your skills by exploring turns, the idea of cross system, and milonga. (Pre-requisite: Tango 1)

Tango 3: Purely Social (NEW)
Become a more relaxed, versatile social dancer by strengthening your connection, floor craft, musicality, and turns. (Pre-requisite: Tango 2)

Intermediate 2: Moving in Circles (NEW)
All about circular movements. Access the spiral within your body to create a spiral between you and your partner. (Pre-requisite: Intermediate 1)

Rhythmic Close Embrace (NEW)
Learn to use playful patterns, compact steps, and turns to enjoy dancing to D’Arienzo, Donato, Lomuto, and other rhythmic orchestras.  (Pre-requisite: Tango 2)

Dancing in Place 2
Dancing in the same spot at a crowded milonga is an essential skill. We’ll continue our exploration of leaders’ options; followers will learn to contribute in a smaller space. We’ll also apply this idea to vals and milonga. (Pre-requisite: Intermediate/Advanced Tango)

Tango with brigitte and Francis
We challenge you to go beyond “steps” and delve into the details. Take command of your movement for a more vibrant, creative tango. (Pre-requisite: Open to those who dance both roles fluently, and intermediate/advanced couples.)

Tango Tutoring (NEW)
For leaders and followers. Work on the details and send your partners to tango heaven. Each week, we’ll tackle a single tango topic. Drop-in for the class you need.
