August 7: Pre-Show Milonga at La Nouvelle Scène.
The Tuesday Milonga is moving for one night only to La Nouvelle Scène. DJ Francis will start playing tandas from 7:30 to 10:00 PM. Bar service will start at 8:00 PM. Cover is $10 as usual. Come join us for a night of tango on the town!
After the milonga, you could stay for the Chamberfest performance of Payadora Tango Ensemble. The show starts at 10:00 PM. If you already know you’d like to stay for the show, contact Francis to take advantage of a discount offered to Siempre Tango’s patrons.
August 14: The Mini-Milonga
We’re having another Mini-Milonga is for our newest dancers who haven’t felt “ready enough” to come to the regular Milongas. It’s a perfect chance to try out what you’ve learned in a low-pressure environment!
- When: 7:00 – 8:30 PM, followed by our regular Tuesday Milonga.
- Cover: $10, which includes both the Mini-Milonga and the regular milonga.
August 21: Let’s Dance (the Cortinas)
Back by popular demand: Jewel will play danceable cortinas at this playful summer milonga.
August 29: Ottawa Welcomes the Redwood Tango Trio.
Our weekly milonga will move to Wednesday night for this very special event.
The Redwood Tango Trio is on tour to support the release of the Redwood Ensemble’s latest album, Prizefighter. We’re so pleased to welcome them to Ottawa and look forward to a powerful night of live tango music.
Tickets are on sale now for $15 until August 26. They will be available at the door for $20.
