Sunday Tango 101

101A Main Street, Ottawa
Your first tango classes will give you the foundations for exploring this creative, improvisational social dance. You will learn:
- How to create a great tango embrace
- Your first figures
- A brief bit about the history of tango and its cultural context
- How to be a good tango citizen!
All students will learn both roles from the beginning. As this is a progressive class, no drop-ins permitted.
Price:
- Early Bird until September 13: $160 per person, includes HST.
- After September 13: $180 per person, includes HST.
- 30-and-under: $90 per person, includes HST.
- Your class fees include the Sunday Práctica at 5: 15 PM for the duration of your class, Thursday Tango Labs starting in October 2026, and one 45-minute private session with Jewel.
Monday Tango 101

The Tango Bootcamp is a learning experience for complete beginners. No experience required, no partner needed, and no awkward “what do I do with my feet?” moments.
We’ll guide you through:
- The fundamentals of Argentine Tango movement
- Leading & following basics — with opportunities to try both
- How social tango works, so you feel confident stepping into a class or event later
Join us for a relaxed session where you can take your time, ask questions, laugh, and feel accomplished by the end.
If you subsequently join a Tango 101 session, you will receive a 35% discount on your class fees.
