On Monday Nights, we strive to create a space for new tango dancers to grow and for experienced dancers to cultivate their skills and sense of community.

Tango 101

Your first tango classes will give you the foundations for exploring this creative, improvisational social dance. You will learn:
- How to create a great tango embrace
- Your first figures
- A brief bit about the history of tango and its cultural context
- How to be a good tango citizen!
All students will learn both roles from the beginning. As this is a progressive class, no drop-ins permitted.
Price:
- Early Bird until June 9: $225 per person, includes HST.
- After June 9: $250 per person, includes HST.
- 30-and-under: $115 per person, includes HST.
- Your class fees include the práctica at 5: 15 PM for the duration of your class, Thursday Tango Labs starting in July 2026, and one 45-minute private session with Jewel.

Classic Skills for Intermediate Dancers
June 8, 15, 22: Close Embrace
7:45 – 9:15 PM
This class is ideal for the person who has been dancing for a while but needs a reset. Creating connection is a skill that can be learned and improved. Let’s practice our embrace and use these skills in things like cross system walks and ochos.
Class (1 hour) + Guided Practice (30 mins): Drop in, $25 per person (includes HST)
