ALL LEVELS
Basic Musicality + Technique
Sunday, April 14
2:30 – 4:00 PM
To be able to use the underlying rhythms of tango, to decide between rhythmic or melodic movements, to have fun with “bridges,” and to sustain pauses, all dancers must have good fundamental technique. We will combine exercises with certain rhythms so you can learn to control the way you want to move to the music!
Price: $25 per person. Your class fees include the práctica at 5 PM.
BEGINNERS
Tango 101 for Beginners
Sundays from 1:00 to 2:30 PM
April 28; May 5, 12; June 2, 9, 16, 23
Your first tango classes will give you the foundations for exploring this creative, improvisational social dance. You will learn:
- How to create a great tango embrace
- Your first figures
- A brief bit about this history of tango and its cultural context
- How to be a good tango citizen!
All students will learn both roles from the beginning.
Please note: There is no class on May 17 (Victoria Day Weekend). On May 26, there will be a supplemental workshop with a guest teacher, and a separate fee will be levied for that workshop.

Tango 102/103
Sundays, 2:30 to 4:00 PM
April 21, 28; May 5, 12; June 2, 9, 16, 23
We will be exploring cross system and simple turns. The second half will focus on the other dances under the tango umbrella: milonga and vals cruzado.
Please note: There is no class on May 17 (Victoria Day Weekend). On May 26, there will be a supplemental workshop with a guest teacher, and a separate fee will be levied for that date.
Price: $200 per person. The price includes entrance to the Sunday Práctica at 5 PM.
INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED
Milonga Twists and Turns
Sundays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM
April 14, 21, 28; May 5, 12
Pre-requisite: Previous basic Milonga classes or teacher’s approval
Ochos and turns for milonga are challenging but super useful. Much of this material can apply to close embrace, rhythmic tango.
Price: $125 per person. Includes the Sunday Práctica that follows.
Intermediate Tango
Sundays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM
June 2, 9, 16, 23
