BEGINNERS
Tango 101
Sundays from 1:00 to 2:30 PM
September 22, 29; October 6, 20, 27
Your first tango classes will give you the foundations for exploring this creative, improvisational social dance. You will learn:
- How to create a great tango embrace
- Your first figures
- A brief bit about this history of tango and its cultural context
- How to be a good tango citizen!
All students will learn both roles from the beginning.
$125 per person, includes entrance to our Sunday Práctica

Tango 102
Sundays from 1:00 to 2:30 PM
November 3, 10, 17, 24; December 1, 8
You’ll learn:
- cross system vs. parallel system
- how to create ochos and simple paradas
$125 per person, includes entrance to our Sunday Práctica

ALL LEVELS
De-Mystifying Turns 1
Sundays, 2:30 – 4:00 PM
September 15, 22, 29; October 6
This will be an exploration of turns from the bottom up. We will start with the nuts and bolts of turns, and move quickly to changing directions or combining different turns together. Our goal is to de-mystify turns (giros) for both roles! Challenging for those new to turns, just right for intermediates, and an opportunity to examine details for more experienced dancers.
We will aim to pair students of similar levels so that everyone gets the most out of this class.
Pre-requisite: Completed Tango 101 in 2024
Price: $100 per person. Your class fees include the práctica at 5 PM.

De-Mystifying Turns PLUS
Sundays, 2:30 – 4:00 PM
October 27 and November 3
Our goal is to de-mystify turns (giros) for both roles. This mini-session will concentrate on changing directions and combining different turns together. Challenging for those new to turns, just right for intermediates, and an opportunity to examine details for more experienced dancers.
We will aim to pair students of similar levels so that everyone gets the most out of this class.

Close Embrace and Small Spaces (Tango 202)
Sundays, 2:30 – 4:00 PM
November 10, 17, 24
We pride ourselves on walking well in close embrace and having great floor craft at the milonga. This is often difficult for less experienced dancers, so we’re here to help. Challenging for those new to tango, super helpful for intermediates, and an opportunity to examine details for more experienced dancers.
We will aim to pair students of similar levels so that everyone gets the most out of this class.
