Siempre Tango Ottawa holds a monthly milonga, on the first or second Saturday of the month.
Saturday, June 14
Siempre Tango Ottawa is honoured to welcome director and animator Véronique Paquette and her internationally acclaimed short animation LOCA — a poetic and powerful spotlight on the tango connection — that has captivated audiences at animation festivals around the world.
Meet us at the intersection of film and dance, and come along for this beautiful exploration of tango, art, and human connection!

PROGRAMMING
5:00 – 6:15 PM
Screening + Panel Discussion + Q&A
We’ll watch LOCA together! Then using LOCA as a springboard, our panel will dive into the rich world of the tango connection. Véronique will be joined by Pooya Rowghanian and Isabelle Oppenheim, each offering their unique perspectives on this deeply human experience. The conversation will be moderated by Jacques Hamel.
Following the panel, there will be a chance to ask questions and join in the conversation.
6:30 – 7:45 PM
Workshop: Explore Elements of the Tango Connection (For ALL Levels)
Let’s move beyond conversation about the tango connection and into embodied experience. In this hands-on workshop, Pooya and Isabelle will guide participants through exercises designed to deepen connection between partners. Explore the subtle art of connecting through a listening touch, and heightened sensitivity — both with yourself and your partner.
