Easter Sunday. There will be no workshops offered, but Virginia and Juan will be available for private lessons. Please indicate your interest on the registration form.

PLEASE NOTE: These classes are for intermediate-advanced dancers, meaning that you should already come in knowing how to do some basic sacadas and some basic colgadas and volcadas. If you do not meet the basic level for these classes, you may sign up with a partner. If you want to prepare for W5 and get the most out of it, you should probably take the upcoming Sunday 4 PM class with Jewel and Francis.

BIOGRAPHIES
Virginia Vasconi captivates with her versatile, powerful, elegant, and deeply personal style of tango. She approaches dance and teaching in a comprehensive way, drawing on a lifetime of training in classical, jazz, and contemporary dances, as well as yoga. She is a former member of Dana Frígoli’s DNI School of Tango. From 2015 to 2020, she danced and taught with the legendary Julio Balmaceda. She is an official juror for the Mundial (World Tango Championships). Learn more about Virgina at www.virginiavasconi.com.
Juan Marchetti, born in Buenos Aires, began dancing from a very young age. His training was strongly influenced by traditional tango, and it was further enriched by his experience in the tango companies that performed in Buenos Aires theaters until the 2000s. He currently resides and has taught for more than 20 years at his school Por Siempre Tango, based in Sardinia, Italy. He continues to evolve and learn, so that his tango reflects a technical and aesthetic pursuit in the service of musical interpretation.
